Just a quick snap of my bits and pieces coming together for The Quilt Project. I know I said I wasn't going to tell what I'm making it out of, but here's a bit of a sneak peak of the materials.
Tell ya what, I'm LOVING only working with red! It really forces you to think more about the design being great and not relying on the colour scheme.
This is my handbag travel sewing kit - mini scissors, mini unpicker, leather thimble, vintage needle book, threads and ziplock bag (for thread and material scraps) and it's all inside an OPSM case that was my Grandmas. Super handy size that I can take anywhere!

I love that you couldn't resist giving us a sneak peak! As you said, it is exciting to be challenged to use just red. But even though it is just red, your combination of reds look great.
How special to have your kit housed in your grandmas case.
That's a good idea...I think if I could get myself focused on just ONE thing I would be more productive and creative with it...Yay for the sneak peak!!!
I like your little travel sewing kit. I am loving working in red too - it does make you think differently about what you area creating. Yours looks great so far - thanks for the peek!

I love the hexagons ~ they look great in red. Your portable space is great too. Very sweet. Looks productive too (if that makes sense)
Great to have such a portable craft! Your hexagons are looking great - I like those reds together.
That is a fantastic kit. When I think of the number of emergencies that I've had where something like that would have been handy...
I love all your glittery bits and pieces. I have a small passion for all things shiny! I know what you mean about working in red too. Has had the same effect on me.
The suspense is killing me! Can't wait to see everyone's work all together.
I love the idea that you can take your creative space with you everywhere you go.
What a great little kit to carry around. Loving the hexes.
looks great, can't wait to see where the sequins end up
I love hexagons and your creative space looks so sweet. Love a bit of mystery too! :)
having a travel sewing kit is such a good idea and even better when you can store it in something special.
I always carry around something creative too, knitting needles, or some needles and thread and a little piece of fabric. I think people around me think I am a nut for that, but I love it.
Your hexes look great. Can't wait to see the final result!
