New Site!

Wow...has FIVE YEARS really flown past since my last post?? Unbelievable!!

Ive achieved a lot in that time - raised a baby who starts school next year, gone back to work, completed my cert IV in Graphic Design and focused a LOT of my time on drawing and painting (and a little bit of time on sewing, crochet, lamp working, woodworking....etc!)

If you're still here after 5 years and interested in what I'm up to you can find me on instagram @honidesign or on my website rebeccamossdesign . com  (without the spaces :) )

Thanks for all the memories xx

Getting my thriftiness on...

Those of you who follow me on instagram (honidesign) will have already seen this but I thought I'd share here as well.

I popped into Alannah Hill the other day and wanted to buy simply everything in the store....but the budget just doesn't stretch to those luxuries these days. So I made my way to vinnies and bought a plain red cardie and some silver glitter buttons from spotlight. I had some lace and sequins in my stash and I 'glammed up' the cardie. I'm pretty darn impressed with the results too!

I also decided to make little Lucy a mini tutu :) can't get enough of baby tutus!!

Busy busy

I'm happy to say that I've managed to find time to craft with a baby, despite soooo many people telling me I wouldn't! It's funny how people can say unintentionally mean things. I think if you want to do something then you just need to put your mind to it and do it!!

So I've been knitting squares for charity (2 more squares done) glittering beads, sewing (a headband for lucy) and lots more.

And of course I've spent a lot of time playing with my gorgeous baby. She provides me with endless smiles and is an absolute angel.

Born to knit

This year I'm knitting a few squares for the Born to Knit charity blanket collection. Last year I rallied the knitters at work and we made 3 whole blankets. This year the lovely ditmeister took the reins and is collecting the squares. I've made 2 squares (pre Lucy days ) but now that we seem to have a little routine going with Lucy I'm hoping I can bang out a few more squares.

If you'd like to participate you can view more information at http://www.borntoknit.com.au/

Oh and I managed to knit this hot water bottle cover for my Ma.

Little Lucy Lemondrop

The sweetest, funniest little girl in the world. I love her more than life itself and can't imagine life without her now. She's changing daily and it's amazing to watch.
