The other day I finished off a baby blanket for a friend of mine who is due in a couple of weeks. I am getting MUCH better at planning my projects and making sure I finish them by a due date (rather than 6 months after the baby is born!!) Plus I am forcing myself a bit more to only work on ONE project and finish it before I start a bazillion others!
The blanket is a cotton flannel, with English paper pieced appliquéd flowers across the top, with matching binding around the edges. The spotty material is from spotlight and the centres are Japanese fabric with monkeys, deer and mushrooms.
This is a picture of the hexes before I sewed them onto the blanket.

It's beautiful Bec. That's a "treasure forever" gift.
It's gorgeous! I love the polka dots :)
Thats beautiful, wish I was so neat and clever. PS. Hope the clock is PM and not AM!
You've got very lucky friends. Beautiful blankets
Oh Bec... it is just beautiful! Fabulous work and I'm so with you on needing to focus on one thing ;) K
Oh I need to take a great big leaf out of your book. Sigh. Beautiful hexes...
Good thinking on the project front (I should do that too) and the colours of the hexes are sublime!
thats one of my resolutions for this year too. don't imagine it will last though. that blanket is gorgeous. what a lucky little baby
I'm envious that you're managing to focus on due dates and concentrating on one project at a time. That's one of my goals, but so far no luck. Beautiful baby blanket. Your friend is going to love it.
ooh, those hexagons are divine!
